Camping From A Sailboat

Sailing Away from Florida Civilization

As we continue our voyage around the Florida Loop, we take a few days to anchor in the Marco Island area. Although this spot is clean and beautiful, the island is a little crowded for our style. We planned to spend more time exploring Tiger Tail Beach, but unfortunately Jetty (our pup!) isn’t allowed on the beaches so we were forced to keep sailing along. We anchored in Factory Bay to refuel, receive/send mail, get boat chores done, and reload on groceries! We received our new drone, which we are excited to use for our future travels and videos 🙂

Sailboat Camping: From Marco Island to Isolation

After leaving Marco Island, we sailed to a nearby isolated sandbar that we found on Google Earth. We found ourselves in the middle of nowhere, anchored on the Corsair 880 Trimaran with not a soul in sight. We topped the night off with a delicious dinner over a campfire and enjoyed the amazing solitude this spot offered.
