Is it worth the Stop?
We didn’t know exactly what to expect at a place coined one of the most beautiful paddling locations in the US… What we found was Gatorade looking water, bright red rocks, caves, and so much beauty! Pictured rocks is definitely a stop you should not miss when visiting the Upper Peninsula of Michigan!

I appreciated your latest YouTube video..Our trawler (a 1976 Pacific Trawler 37, M/V Iron Wind) was struck from astern this summer near Saltspring Island in the Canadian Gulf Islands. The other boat was a 35′ “industrial strength” alumimum SeaWolf sport fishing doing 25 kt+ when they hit us, underway at 6.5 kt. A good bit of damage ($60,000), but no one injured. One of the most important things I did immediately (the evening of the collision) was draft a detailed report addressing what happened. Dealing with the other party’s insurance agency (Chubb) was a lot easier with that record in hand. They have been totally professional.
